The Adirondack Council is requesting support to oppose budget cuts to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The Council is asking individuals to write Senator Schumer and Senator Gillibrand requesting a reversal to budget cuts that threaten critical research and monitoring programs for Adirondack Lakes. Included in their request is support for $250,000 for the Adk Lakes Survey Corp. for long-term monitoring and restoration of waters impacted by acid rain.
